Welcome to our 'Ward Family Website' which is mainly genealogy related.

Here we share with you much information, on our Ward surname and all the family ancestors that we have researched, together with my wife's family line, namely Lomax, although this site also covers so much more interesting subjects such as occupations, brief history of towns, census extracts, and plenty of history, as we have created a complete section on 'Britain In The 1800's', where you can view a great deal of information.

I have updated the Genealogy Two section of this site (18-12-2011).

This shows our research into my wife's family line,

and I have had some good results with the Lomax & Lynch family names.

Please make a visit to the Summerseat section of our website - There is so much information, including - A history of Rowland's Church, also full transcriptions that I have done of the 1841, 1871 & 1881 censuses for the Summerseat area of Lancashire. Plus a photo gallery of Summerseat, together with 170 photos of the headstones in Rowland's top graveyard.

I have just finished updating the Rowland's Graveyard Page of the Summerseat Section of this site, as I have placed new photos of the 170 headstones in the top graveyard. I have also added the full monumental inscriptions of these 170 graves, I do hope that this helps you with your research.

I have also added pages where you can view many photo's together with the Monumental Inscriptions, of the Old Graveyard at Rowland's which is unfortunately now closed due to the dangerous condition that it is in, I have also given you some information regarding the old graveyard.
