One of my my ancestral lines was the Ward family of Dudley, Worcestershire, who worked as nailers. I've gone back as far as Edward Ward, born around 1790, whose father was named Michael. Alas, I can find nothing about Michael Ward, so I'd be most grateful if any other Ward researchers have information on him.

I am trying to find my g grandfather Frank Ward's family. Married Harriet Bensley about 1902. I have the ship records when they migrated to Canada. Frank was born 1878/1879 in England. My problem is he died in 1908 and left no information about his family. I can find no marriage information in England or Canada, and their is no information on his death record that would lead me to where he was born in England or who his parents were. I am assuming they married in England as their first son was born on the ship between Liverpool and Canada. This marriage was not approved by Frank's Family and hence, neither Frank or Harriet spoke of his family. On the ship he listed his occupation as a commercial traveller.

I know that in William Gamaliel Will he mentioned grandchildren Lois, Reuben and Dorcas Do you think you could help me to see if our Reubens are the same ones.

I have most of the information from Reuben down even photos of headstones from the war of 1812 and an author Charles Fosdick who wrote a book about him being a POW in the Andersonville prison during the civil war

An excellent website, what a pity there are not equivalent ones for other areas! Many thanks for all your hard work, it is much appreciated. I am currently researching my families, Hamer and Ainsworth, most of whom lived in and around Summerseat and Ramsbottom in the 19th century. My great grandfather Benjamin Ainsworth was a prominent member of the Wesleyan Chapel, so I would be very interested in the grave stones. My paternal great grandfather, Edwin Hamer, was manager at Lock Gate cotton mill. If anyone has any information about either of them, I'd love to hear from you.
